A garment dyed fish tail parka produced in high quality ramie, one of the world's oldest fiber crops. Ramie is known to have been used for at least six thousand years, recognised its for strength, shape retention & distinct silk lustre.
To support its natural ability to repel water, and further strengthen the fabric, a polyurethane coating has been applied. The result is a highly water resistant fabric with a unique handle and reflective properties.
As this style has been subject to the garment dye process we can confirm each piece is wholly unique, with varying degrees of dye take-up seen from piece to piece. Dying the Parka in such a way ensures a wonderful array of highs and lows throughout the fabric, giving it a grand sense of depth that few other processes can offer.
